After this, Raje learned about the scarcity of food and water facing the common people of the state.He asked Kaviraj to send  to all the villages and to write a letter to Harjiraj to supply more from Karnataka. Aurangzeb, facing the same problems, stole the cereals sent to Sambhaji by Harjiraj. Khandoji tells Sambhaji that Harjiraj has announced himself as King of Karnataka. He says that this meant that the Haraji kings were planning to send grain trains to Aurangzeb instead of Sambhaji.

Some ordinary people are begging for food at Raigad’s door. Due to the ongoing drought for the last two years, food and water shortages have been created in the entire Deccan region. Rajesh hears the conversation as Kaviraj solves his problem. He invites these ordinary citizens to dine at Raigad and asks Kaviraj to send food trains to different parts of heaven. He also advised to send large quantities of food grains to Kaviraj so that people would remain hungry. Thereafter, the Raja asks his men to write a letter to Harjiraj in Karnataka and sends the cargo to Raigad. Kaviraj complies with these orders.
